INGREDIENTS
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/2 cup maple syrup (Grade A Dark Amber)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
METHOD
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In medium bowl stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, oats, and pecans together.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until blended. Beat in the egg until barely fluffy. With mixer running, drizzle in maple syrup, and then vanilla. Gradually add the flour-oatmeal mixture until combined, then mix in chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto cookie sheet; bake for 9-13 minutes until edges are golden brown.
