INGREDIENTS
4 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2-1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350º
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
In a large bowl, cream the butter and 1 cup of white sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then maple syrup—mix. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just blended.
In a small bowl, mix the maple sugar and remaining 1/4 cup white sugar. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and then roll the balls in the sugar mixture. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart.
Bake 8-10 minutes. Cookies will be crackly on top when done. For good chewy cookies make sure not to over bake.
Cool on wire racks and then enjoy!
