MAPLE BREAD PUDDING

INGREDIENTS
1 cup maple syrup (the darker the better)
1 tablespoon melted butter
8-10 slices of bread, cubed
3 beaten eggs
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

METHOD
Place bread in large mixing bowl. In small saucepan, heat milk to scalding and add to the bread. Add syrup, butter, eggs and raisins and mix well. Pour mixture into greased 8x8 pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 40-50 minutes or until set.
